Banalog ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This Notice explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have. It's written to comply with applicable North American privacy laws, including CCPA/CPRA (US) and PIPEDA (Canada).
What we collect
- Account info — name, email, hashed password.
- Financial data you enter — accounts, transactions, budgets, goals, debts, subscriptions. We do not connect to your bank or pull data from third parties.
- Billing info — handled by our payment processor. We never store full card numbers.
- Usage data — device type, browser, IP, pages viewed, errors. Used for diagnostics and product improvement.
How we use it
To run the service, process payments, secure your account, and reply when you contact us. We use aggregated usage data to find bugs and decide what to build next.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with vendors we need to run the service (hosting, payments, email delivery, analytics), under contract. We will disclose data when required by law.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, opt out of certain uses, and limit how sensitive information is handled. California residents have additional CCPA/CPRA rights. Canadian residents may withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual limits, under PIPEDA. Retention & security
We keep your data while your account is active and for as long as legal obligations require. We use encryption in transit, encrypted storage, and row-level security so users can only access their own data.
Beta-phase note
Banalog is in Beta. While we follow industry-standard practices, software in active development carries inherent risk. We strongly recommend keeping independent records of any critical financial information until General Availability.
Children
Banalog isn't directed at children under 13 (US) or under the age of digital consent in your province (Canada). We don't knowingly collect data from minors.
